Key features
The cordless DECT handset Snom M85 was specially developed for use in working environments with potential danger. Various alarm functions are used for safety or for alerting in critical situations. These alarms are triggered both manually, e.g. by pressing the alarm key, and, sensor-supported, automatically.
The IP65 rating, which protects the phones from water and dust, makes them particularly useful for special areas in industry or on construction sites.
The Snom M85 has Bluetooth and can also be connected to wireless or corded headsets via a 3.5mm jack connector.
By pressing the alarm key, a defined alarm can be triggered in an emergency.
The high-resolution display offers excellent presentation and recognizability in all lighting conditions.
Should the optional wrist loop attached to the phone be torn off the phone ("rip cord alarm"), an automatic alarm or call for help is triggered.
This device has an option to signal an alarm. This can be physical switches and similar, but also sensors.
This device has backlit keys, which is of course very useful especially in low-light conditions.
This device has Bluetooth headset support.
This device communicates using the radio standard for telecommunications called DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications).
This DECT handset comes with a belt clip.
This device has a port and possible software support that allows a headset to be connected.
The protection class "IP" describes with the first number (6) that this device is "dust-tight". The second number (5) indicates that this device has protection against water jets (nozzle) from any angle.
This device is able to receive updates via radio, i.e. OTA (over-the-air). As a rule, the DECT handsets must be in their charging cradle for this.
This device is built to be used in a harsher work environment, withstand a variety of shocks or fall from a low height without any problems.
This device has an integrated phone book.
This handset has a vibration function, so a call can be indicated even without a ringtone.
These headsets can be used with any M-Series handset using the "ACPJ" adapter for 3.5mm jack plugs.
You need this quick release adapter cable "ACPJ" to connect a headset of the A100x series.

The Snom M9B Beacon Gateway works as a Bluetooth satellite, which connects via a DECT data connection to a Snom M900 DECT base station. The 4 antennas integrated in the Snom M9B enable thanks to beamforming in the range of 1-1.5 metres, in order to protect objects from theft, for example.
