snom speeds deployment and eases Management of IP Phone Portfolio with TR-069 Standard Support
snom is the first SIP business VoIP phone manufacturer to enable the auto configuration of VoIP terminals using the carrier-graded standards TR-069 (as overriding method) and TR-111 (explicitly for LAN/NAT-connected devices). TR-069 has been developed by the International Broadband Forum to enable various devices to contact auto-configuration servers in order to automatically obtain the latest updates and security settings.
With the TR-069 standard, businesses and public sector organisations using snom phones will be able to customise any number of extensions at no cost and optimise the configuration and standardisation of all devices simultaneously. snom IP phones even allow “zero touch deployment”; all users need to do is connect their phones and the configuration takes place automatically, saving time and money. With most other IP phone manufacturers this process is comparatively time consuming.
For administrators, managing large VoIP telephone systems through a centralised management system, has historically been very expensive because of the complexity of different components and many possible configurations of individual devices.
